The Thomas Kennedy violas are painstakingly hand-crafted in Oregon state using the traditional, time-perfected method of instrument making. Substantial time spent on the final carving, coupled with an experienced maker, produce an astoundingly beautiful sounding instrument.

The back, sides, neck, and scroll are made of top quality, well-seasoned, flamed European maple. Choice Engelmann spruce is used for the top. The elegantly decorated fittings are made of the highest grade ebony. A gorgeous, dark brown oil varnish, meticulously applied, allows the viola to resonate to its full potential. The bridge is a custom-fit French Aubert bridge. The viola is strung with professional quality Helicore strings on the C, G, and D; along with a Larson A string.
