Iosef Simon violins are hand-crafted in Romania by Russian-born Iosef Simon and his two sons. They are modeled after the famous "Messiah" Stradivarius of 1716. Gorgeous flamed Carpathian maple and spruce which has been aged over 35 years is used in the construction. The fittings are Grade #1 African Ebony, and the bridge is a custom-fitted French Aubert. These violins are strung with professional quality Thomastik Dominant strings. Meticulous attention has been paid to the finest details, insuring an instrument that is purely a pleasure to play. They are hand-varnished in a stunning, deep golden-brown finish over a translucent ground.
