We send violins FREE to APO addresses In recognition of our troops via USPS Priority mail which usually takes about 10 business days but can take up to 2 weeks.
Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii must be sent via USPS Priority Mail, which requires an additional shipping cost of $39.95. Please choose this shipment option during the checkout process.
We also ship to Canada usually via UPS International ground. You have to pay for shipment to Canada, but the customs clearance fees and broker fees are included in the shipping price. The shipping time generally ranges from 3-7 business days. You will only have to pay the Canadian customs tax associated with your province. Your instrument will be delivered directly to your door and you will have to pay the tax at the time of delivery. We are told that this ranges between 5%-20% of the claimed value. The initial cost of shipment that we bill you during check out is $39.95. Please choose this option during the checkout process.
If orders are placed before 12:00 PST, they usually go out the same day. Most orders are sent via UPS ground service and UPS promises to deliver your package within 3-5 business days. Products ordered on the weekend will go out Monday. If you order a small product, like a shoulder rest or mute, it will be sent using the Post Office. There is no tracking for these small items, but generally you will get them in 5 business days or less.
We offer UPS "1, 2 & 3 express business day " service. Please note that shipping companies such as UPS count only "BUSINESS" days. Saturday and Sunday are not business days. For example, if you order a product on Monday before 12:00 PST with "2nd Day Air", you will receive product on Wednesday. However, if you order your product on Friday before 12:00 PST with UPS 2nd Day, you will receive your product on Tuesday. If you order your product after 12:00 PST on Friday, the package will go out Monday and you'll receive the product Wednesday.
When you order your product, you will receive an email usually within 1 business day that contains the tracking information for your order. You can go to this address to track you order: http://www.ups.com/ If you are at an APO address, there is no automated way for us to get you your tracking number. If you order a small item such as a shoulder rest or mute, it will be sent via the Post Office and there is no tracking. You'll usually get it in about 5 business days or less.
Most of the time UPS will leave your package on your doorstep unless it's an apartment complex. If you 'd like, we can have it kept at the UPS facility where you can pick it up. Just let us know in the "special delivery" box during purchase what you'd like to do.Ê If you live in an area where you believe your instrument may be stolen off your door step, please request "signature required" service, because we cannot be responsible for stolen merchandise. We send most violins out without a signature required, but if the violin has a value of $250.00 or more, we will usually require a signature or if the violin is being sent to an area that is well known for theft problems like Brooklyn or Oakland.
If you send us an email or call us before 12:00 PST of the day you ordered it, you can change or cancel your order. Am I responsible for merchandise that is lost or damaged by the shipping company? The product is not your responsibility until you have received it from the shipping company. If it is lost or damaged by the shipping company, we will replace it it free of charge. If you receive a damaged product, contact us and return the product to us immediately so we can process the replacement product as soon as possible.Ê If your instrument is stolen, it is not our responsibility, so if you believe that your package may be stolen from your porch, please request "signature required" service, so FedEx does not leave your package unattended.
