  1. WAY better than the G1 or G2. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Jul 2016

For a bit more than the G1, the sound difference is huge. My son is on Suzuki book 2 and 3 so sound quality is starting to be a factor. We got the G1 and though it sounded dead. This is so much better. Makes parents and teachers happy.

  2. Still happy after a year! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Nov 2014

I purchased this violin over a year ago and I still love it today. It has a nice warm, rich sound and it looks beautiful. For everything you get this is an amazing price and worth every penny.

Everything you get is high quality. My violin looks just as good today as it did when it first arrived.

I was a complete beginner when I purchased it but the quality sound of this violin has really helped to boost my learning experience. I won't have to upgrade for a long time to come. I still admire my violin every time I pull it out.

The only thing I've had to replace after a year is the bow and the tuner that came with the violin.

I absolutely love this violin and would recommend it to beginners and advanced students alike who are on a budget. Kennedy Violins is also a great company.

  3. Better Than I Deserve 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Mar 2014

At age 58, I picked up the violin for the first time since leaving high school. It's been an adventure. I'm not sure how quickly proficiency rusts, but ~40 years seems to do the job nicely. So I've had my Giuliano Etude outfit for a couple of years now, and I couldn't be happier with it. The sound is excellent, and it holds its tuning very well -- just the smallest bit of tweaking on the fine tuners is all that it ever seems to need. The case was a revelation to me ... violin cases seem to have come a long way in the four decades when I wasn't looking, and this one has many creature comforts that I much appreciate. I should have reviewed it before now, but ... I'm just a slug, I guess.

For a "recovering" violinist like me, this instrument is an outstanding value. The price is VERY reasonable, and the quality ... well, let's just say that I'll have to get much, much, much better before I'm instrument-limited. I found Kennedy to be a joy to do business with, too. For the review-reading online shopper who's hesitating: go ahead, pull the trigger on this one. You won't regret it.

  4. A very good violin for a very good deal 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jun 2013

Okay let me just point out, THIS VIOLIN IS AWESOME. I bought this violin at their store. They were wonderfully nice and helped me find the perfect violin for me! Anyways, this violin is beautiful. From the bottom to the top it was eye stunning. The back also has a nice touch of maple flame on it! This violin sounds wonderful although I recommend getting some obligato strings since this violin get a little bit too bright with other strings such as the ones that come with the violin. Netherless this violin will last you a very long time. This violin play better than me! I thank the wonderfull staff for helping me choose this wonderful violin!

  5. Absolutely beautiful violin 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th May 2013

I couldnt have been happier with my purchase of the A.G. "Etude" violin. I have been playing it for about two months now. It sounds and preforms beautifully. Sound is comparable with my instructors violin. It came set up and ready to go. Staff was very helpful answering any questions I may have had at the time and after the purchase. As for the price point of the set-up you WILL NOT FIND a better package for the price. I will not go anywhere else for a major purchase.

  6. Beautiful! Love it! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Mar 2013

Came already set up, ready to go! Just only a little tuning needed. I have a violin tuning app on my phone to help me tune. It really is a nice violin, much better than the rental I had from another company. I did a LOT of research for a couple of months prior to making this purchase. Kennedy Violins is the only place I could find that had the oil finish, professional set up, and hand made for the price!!

  7. Great violin and staff support 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Mar 2013

We were extremely pleased with the quality of this violin. After returning several violins from other music stores, we were discouraged that we could purchase a good violin at a reasonable price. This violin is the perfect fit for the level of play our daughter is at. The staff at Kennedy Violins is knowledgeable and professional.

  8. GREAT VIOLIN 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Jan 2013

I purchased the 1/2 size for my son and we were very pleased with this violin. He proudly went to his lesson and his teacher was also impressed with the violin ,case and all the extras that came with the package. It has a very good sound for a fractional violin. I would reccomend Kennedy Violins to anyone who is looking for a quality instrument at a great price. The customer service was also helpful with the online chat that is offered. We will be buying our violins from Kennedy from now on, we have a younger son that is also taking violin so after he uses the sizes we will trade in and be a Kennedy customer for some time to come.

  9. Absolutely stunning and a masterpiece! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Aug 2012

This violin is absolutely flawless with no surprises. I am not just writing this review because I am overwhelmed, I am writing this review because I want anyone that is looking for a good violin and wants to know about this product I just purchased. I am a total skeptic and I could not find a single thing wrong with it or out of place – I got a lot of quality and value and everything is as they said it would be. Knowing much about musical instruments I looked around and searched just about every where. This was a big step for me in choosing the right violin. I wanted something very nice and possibly something I could pass down to my children and to their generation. I felt hopeless…I just wanted to give up looking and so a friend recommended Kennedy Music store. I gave them a call and they answered all my questions. He was very polite and patient with my questions as he helped me chose the right one violin for me.

Everything came in less then three days very well packed intact and no parts were missing nor was anything out of place or broken. I found a 19 point check list that was signed and dated Aug 24 2012. What can I say… I didn’t expect to get an upgraded case but I think it is normal with all their violins. The case came with a key lock, a hygrometer, and there are lots of pockets with brass knobs and the insides are padded nicely. The violin sound post was set correctly and the bridge was set in the right place and the strings were tuned. It looks hand crafted to me done with perfection and the quality of the materials used for the violin is of good quality and all I needed to do is just play it. I am pleased with the sound this little instrument puts out, the lows are deep and the highs are pleasant and it's very loud when played hard. Wow...

I'm very happy with my purchase and all the items that came with this package. A pre rosined wood bow, rosin in its own little pouch and an extra set of back-up strings. No bad surprises and ready to go. You won’t need to be repaired or have it worked on due to those many cheaper models on Ebay or Amazon, it’s already been done by luthiers and inspected in their store before it’s shipped out to you. I am an on line shopper and like Amazon and I buy a lot from them but when it comes to violins Kennedy takes the cake.

If you are shopping around and you are uncertain on what buy, give Kennedy Violins a chance because I know from my own heart and personal experience they will meet up to your expectations. I am calling it the way I see it and my husband and I are very pleased. We are happy customers for life because I know what to expect on my next buy. 5 stars at a Quality product at a very reasonable price. Melissa
