Louis Carpini Viola Outfit

A step up from the Ricard Bunnel these violas use the
highest quality tight grained spruce and more time taken
in the final carving to ensure deep, resonate sound. They
come pre-strung with professional quality Helicore strings.

The Louis Carpini Viola Outfit is an upgrade to the Ricard Bunnel in that it has more choice wood on the back, sides and top of the viola. The tight grained spruce has been aged for 7 years, in contrast to the Bunnels 4 year old top. More time has been taken in the final stages of carving to ensure better tone quality and projection. The bow has been upgraded as well. The frog is made from 100% Ebony and the eye is genuine mother of pearl. We are confident that you will be more than satisfied with the attention to detail and ease of playability that these violas have to offer. Louis Carpini Violas are sold as an outfit. They come with case, bow, rosin and are ready to play. They are constructed of SOLID Maple back/sides and SOLID carved Spruce on the top. All of the fittings are 100% Genuine Ebony. Pegs, Chinrest and Fingerboard. Carpini Spruce is not only premium tight grained spruce, but is aged 7 years as well for very even sound.

The viola also comes with:

Large and durable oblong case.
Shoulder straps for the case, so it can be carried over the shoulder or as a back pack. It has a nice sized interior compartment for accessories.
Bow made with REAL wood (not fiberglass) and REAL horse hair.
Rosin.

All violas are hand inspected and set up by a professional luthier and meet or exceed all MENC specifications. When you receive your viola, it will be ready to play; not in pieces as many instruments are from other web sites.
