As the perfect beginner violin, the Bunnel Pupil Violin Outfit includes everything you need to begin your musical journey. We understand that the quality of your first instrument greatly affects your initial playing and learning experience, especially for younger students. As a result, we guarantee that the sound quality and ease of playing of the Bunnel Pupil Violin will be far superior to any other beginner violin at this incredible value.
What makes Kennedy Violins string instruments the best on the market? First, we purchase each violin directly from the maker — a rare and highly effective business practice that lowers our cost and allows us to pass the savings to you. Next, all final assembly and FREE setup is performed locally in our Washington State shop by our professionally trained luthier staff. NO assembly or setup is required with a violin that is ready to play from the moment you open the case. With both the highest-rated violins and customer service in the U.S., we are the only company confident enough to back up our instruments with our lifetime warranty and 45-day money-back guarantee. Experience the Kennedy Violins difference today!
At Kennedy Violins, we are adamant about providing EVERYONE, young and old, access and the opportunity to learn an instrument by constructing beautiful, high-quality violins that are both easy to play and affordable. There are many inexpensive instruments that are poorly made, and you get what you pay for — something hardly playable that merely looks like a violin. We offer the Bunnel Pupil Violin as a low-price alternative for customers who want to spend the least amount on the highest quality instrument available. We are confident that you will be satisfied with the attention to detail and durability of this violin, even at such an affordable low price.
This beginner violin offers a resonant and clear sound, enhanced by the rich, dark brown satin oil finish unlike the thick, plastic-like finishes on many beginner instruments. The Bunnel Pupil comes with four professional grade fine tuners for ease of tuning—a necessity for new players. In addition to our popular Giuliani Brazilwood Violin Bow with real Mongolian horsehair and Kennedy Violins Natural Rosin, the outfit comes complete with the lightweight, ultra-protective Bunnel Oblong Case with weatherproof black exterior and light blue or amber interior. The case features two interior accessory compartments, two adjustable straps, two bow holders, an outer zippered music/accessory pocket, and multiple case-carrying options including over-the-shoulder or backpack wear.
Setup by our expert luthiers is included with your order. At Kennedy Violins, we ensure that each violin is individually assembled, setup, tuned, and inspected to our highest standards. Your violin will be ready to play when you receive it—not sent to you unstrung or in pieces as sold by other online suppliers. Our setup includes the following services:
The Bunnel Pupil Violin Outfit also includes the following:
For beginning students, we recommend the following beginning violin books from our sheet music collection to get started. The following method books teach introductory techniques, music theory, and how-to basics for learning to play the violin:

The Kennedy Pupil Violin Outfit is absolutely perfect for beginners, and for the price of the whole thing (including a bow, violin, hard case, and rosin - though the bow is pre-rosined when you get it, so make sure you don't accidentally over-rosin the bow when you get it thinking that it needs it), you can't beat it. The violin produces sound that is beyond that of any violin of equal or lesser price that you can find off of amazon, I repeat, do NOT buy a violin from amazon - Kennedy Violins already has you covered with this set.
Some things that you should know about the whole thing:
- The violin is working fine, no problems at all with it for the past two weeks that I've had it.
- There was tuning involved when I first recieved it (to be expected) so make sure that you have somebody that can tune a violin, or that you've got a tuner at home/with your order of this set.
- The positioning of the bow holder clips inside of the case may be off slightly.
- Minor cosmetic things are nothing the get worried about. You really have to go looking to find them.
- IF you do have something fairly major wrong with the violin or bow (deep scratches, cracks, etc. on the violin, or an oddly-shaped/warped bow) let their live chat person or their email support know, they'll help you.
