Unparalleled Sound

The Vitacek violin is extremely resonant, with a strong voice. Its detailed, intricate construction includes the bass bar, sound post, and structural components placed with absolute precision within the soundbox for a flawless sound and amazing projection.

The attention to the interior graduations allows for warm and even vibrations to be channeled through the body of the instrument, projecting the sound outward with a clear voice. Its brilliant, singing acoustics include rich, full tones in the low range and clear, pronounced treble frequencies in the upper range. It is a pleasure to play and will instill confidence in anyone performing on the violin.

A Unique Finish

The beautiful hand-rubbed finish on the Mikhail Vitacek Violin is none other than classic. The deep, rich color of the varnish highlights both the grain of the Canadian Spruce top (aged for over ten years) and the gorgeous tiger flame in the one-piece maple back. A darker finish around the ribs and authentic ebony purfling bring out its antique, timeless look. The sophisticated character of the violin is evident in both its sound and appearance.

Professional Fittings

The Mikhail Vitacek Violin comes with only the best ebony fittings: pegs, chinrest, tailpiece, and fingerboard are of strong, dense ebony. The pegs and tailpiece are accented with mother of pearl, with gold-brass accented brackets on the chinrest to match the rings around the inlaid eyes. The Vitacek comes pre-strung with steel-core D’Addario Prelude Strings and one fine tuner. Extra fine tuners can be fit by request at no extra cost.

As always, the Vitacek, like all Kennedy Violins instruments, come completely presetup and inspected by a professional luthier on staff.
